Dual degrees are expressed in two distinct degrees, for example for B.Eng. (Elect.) and BBA Honours. In the case of double degrees initiated by the student, the degree for which the student was initially enrolled is mentioned first. A student will be notified if they do not meet the continuation requirements during a semester and must resign from the DDP by withdrawing from the second degree program if they do not meet the continuation requirements for two consecutive semesters. When enrolling in modules in each semester, the student must indicate which modules they would like to use to complete both degrees. Changes to module declarations can only be made after the publication of results in the last semester prior to graduation, subject to the approval of faculties/faculties. Module grades that can be counted twice (Singapore studies, GEM, faculty requirements or majors) are used twice to calculate the CAP for each of the two degrees. If unrestricted elective (UE) modules have been completed outside the requirements of the two degree programme, the marks obtained will be used to calculate the CAP for either degree. The maximum minimum requirement for admission to the second degree program for all faculties/schools is 3.75. Both faculties/departments would normally check whether the student has read certain modules in the respective areas reserved for the dual degree to make a judgment on the student`s abilities and potential. Students who complete combinations of double degree with degrees from faculties/schools in Group A (Science and Technology) and Group B (Humanities and Social Sciences) must each take a GEM from Section A and Section B. Students who have successfully completed a DM will receive a graduation role, for the main subject only.

The above are minimum requirements, the actual total number of MCs depends on the requirements of each of the two degrees and the number of double counts allowed, as indicated by the respective faculties/departments. The PAC for the two financial statements is calculated separately and the two PACs, one for each financial statement, are reflected separately in a single transcript. The residency requirement is 50% of the minimum MC required for the dual degree program, i.e. 100 MC for an honours double degree (two with distinction/4-year degrees) and 90 MC for an honours bachelor`s degree and a bachelor`s degree (one with distinction / 4 years + a 3-year diploma). This means that students in the 2014 cohort must complete the internship module after deciding to leave the DDP or are invited to leave the program if they do not meet the requirements to remain in the program. Depending on when this happens, the exit could extend the normal duration of their course by an additional semester. Therefore, they are advised to carefully plan their studies. DDP students who wish to withdraw from the 2nd degree program must submit their application to the administration of their home faculty after the publication of the results of the previous semester and before the first week of the following semester. We urge students to carefully consider whether they want to step down, as the decision is irrevocable. Withdrawn students will not be readmitted to the DDP, regardless of the CAP. For the competing BEng or BComp (Hons) and MSc (Mgt): If your CAP for the home course falls below 4.00 for two consecutive semesters, you must leave the CDP. For students leaving the program, your academic advisor will advise you on the modules you need to meet the graduation requirements of your home course. Students do not have to take unrestricted (EU) elective modules. However, if students take additional modules that can only be counted as requirements of one degree program, these cannot be counted as UE of the other degree. If students take additional modules outside of the requirements of the two degree program, these can be used to count towards the requirements of both programs of study. A JDP combines the strengths of the NIS and the programs of our partner university and fully integrates international experience into a student`s curriculum. Students are taught and evaluated together and receive a degree together. The graduation role with the coat of arms and official signatories of both universities will be a double validation qualification. Students can complete a JDP with honors within four years if they are following the program. The student will determine the requirements of the dual degree program in consultation with the undergraduate advisor of the faculty/faculty. If you are not selected for direct admission to a DDP, you will be considered for individual programs of study based on the choices you provided in your application. This is provided that you meet the thresholds and professional requirements of your choice. Faculty Requirements: A student who is reading for a double degree within the same faculty/school only needs to meet a number of faculty requirements. If both degrees come from two faculties/schools, both faculty requirements must be met. Main requirements: At least two-thirds of each major must be completed by different modules (i.e. without overlap).
At least 60% of the major credit points in each of the financial statements must be assessed by letters and reflected in the CAP of each financial statement. USP Requirements: USP students must meet 32 MC of the USP requirements, i.e. three Level 1 modules (foundations) (including writing and critical thinking, quantitative thinking, and academic researchers seminar), four Level 2 modules (inquiry), and one Level 3 module (reflection). Modules used to meet the main requirements of both degrees cannot be used to meet the requirements of a minor subject. Double majors are designed as an opportunity for students to broaden their knowledge and skills with a significant degree of depth by pursuing a second major in addition to their major. By acquiring additional skills, students are well positioned for multiple career options. Meeting the requirements of the DDP program while conducting the NOC program may require an extension of the duration of the studies by one or two semesters.
